  ALBION NAZARENE PRAYER LIST

August 4, 2010                                                Vol. 4 Num. 31

We will be having Prayer Meeting tonight at the church.

Giver of every good gift,Teach us . . .

the holy recklessness of being spiritual spendthrifts, the adventures of anonymous giving, the satisfactions of faithful giving, the fulfillments of obedient giving, and to give without thought of anythingexcept your approving smile. Amen.

Neil B. Wiseman

 INTERNATIONAL:

Debbie KleinfeldLast year we prayed for God’s healing touch on Debbie Kleinfeld when she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF). We praise God that today there are no traces of CHF in her blood and that her heart function is within normal range. Thank you, Lord, for Your healing touch. Debbie and her husband, Rolf, are missionaries who have been serving faithfully on the Southeast Asia Field.

Ganta Women’s Vocational Training CenterPray for the ministry taking place at Nazarene Compassionate Ministries’ Ganta Women’s Vocational Training Center in Liberia. Created some years ago by a local church to encourage women in learning new skills after the ravages of civil war, the center has grown beyond a simple skills training location. In the mornings children attend regular classes until the early afternoon. Then adults learn sewing, tie-dying, soap-making, baking, masonry, and construction. By late afternoon the facility is emptied again, only to fill once more when adult literacy students arrive for evening classes. On Sundays, a worship service takes place in the combined classroom. Pray for David and Edith Boyou as they give leadership to the work and for all those who attend classes and worship services. To learn more, visit http://www.ncm.org/projects/acm1844.

President Solicits PrayersThe president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has called on Nigerian religious leaders “not to relent in praying for the peace of the country.” Please join our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria and pray for God’s will to permeate the lives of leadership as they make decisions about the country’s future. Pray also for the people, that they will experience and personally know the love of Christ.

PITTSBURGH DISTRICT

Rev. Eugene Lain (Retired Missionary/Evangelist) died early on Sunday morning. Please keep his wife, Elaine and the family in your prayers during these difficult days.

Jonathan Mitchell (Son of Retired Pastor, Rev. J.E. and Debbie Mitchell) is in the hospital in Kansas City in critical condition. The doctors are running tests to find the problem. Please keep Jonathan and the doctors in your prayers.

Parker Austin Rynkowski (Grandson of Rev. Glen & Dawn Wills, Pastor at the Edinboro Church) born on Tuesday, July 27th in Delaware. Parker had a doctor’s appointment this morning and the doctor found a dimple on his back that may be the first signs of Spinal-bifida.  More tests were to have been done yesterday. Ruth Rynkowski (Wills’ daughter) is still passing blood clots. The Wills’ and Rynkowski families are requesting prayer for both of these requests.

Dr. Steve Dillman as he finishes up his ministry as our District Superintendent and Rev. J. Bret Metcalfe as he prepares to become DS on September 1, 2010.
